Construction Stormwater Management

Maintaining compliance with state and federal stormwater regulations is one of the top priorities in the manufacturing and construction industries.  Environmental 360 offers a wide array of stormwater compliance services including developing Stormwater Pollution Prevention Plans, inspections, sampling, and responding to non-compliance declarations.

The EPA’s National Pollutant Discharge Elimination System (NPDES) is used as a framework for state and local government stormwater regulations for industrial and construction facilities.  Under NPDES, facilities are required to have compliance plans in place to limit discharge of pollutants into waters of the Unites States.  The most widely used plan for NPDES compliance is the Stormwater Pollution Prevention Plan (SWPPP), however, several states use a variation of this plan. For example, Alabama requires a Construction Best Management Practices Plan (CBMPP).  These plans must be certified by an appropriate professional in the erosion and sediment control field. These professionals vary by state and include, but are not limited to: Professional Engineers, Professional Geologists, and Certified Professionals in Erosion and Sediment Control. Environmental 360 has several credentialed professionals to assist in the development and certification of stormwater compliance plans.

Site inspections, stormwater sampling, and water quality analysis are required by most general permit requirements for construction and industrial activities. The frequency of inspections and sampling varies by state and sector. Inspections and sampling must be performed by appropriately credentialed professionals as well.

At Environmental 360, our goals include exceeding the expectations of our clients and providing the highest quality of service. We strive to help clients maintain stormwater compliance through inspections, sampling, and other permit requirements. Environmental 360 has experienced staff that can interpret and respond to environmental agency complaints and non-compliance decrees effectively. Contact us today for more information.
