A Virginia industrial facility selected Environmental 360’s team of air consultants to perform an odor survey as a response to residential odor complaints. After initial sensory surveys, a plan of action to target specific areas within the facility was quickly developed by Environmental 360 thanks to our extensive process knowledge. Once the study areas were identified, the team used a flame ionization detector (FID) to pinpoint the exact sources of the leaks causing the odor and provided recommendations for repairs. The study resulted in a significant reduction in odor complaints received from the local community.
