Environmental 360 was awarded the COMS maintenance and Procedure 3 Audit contract for an aluminum production facility with 12 opacity monitors. These monitors were in service for 10+ years in the type of challenging environment that is common within industry – high heat transmitted from the related sources, low winter temperatures, and the regular occurrence of high winds and strong precipitation. Regular preventative maintenance activities allowed these monitors to remain accurate and reliable in this environment until Environmental 360 was awarded the contract to replace each monitor with a new unit. Environmental 360 continues to work with this facility to meet all requests and expectations put forth by their local regulatory agency with regards to the testing and reporting aspects of this contract. This partnership has been successful in keeping monitoring downtime to a minimum and ensuring that all data is quality assured pursuant to the applicable regulation.
