Environmental 360 assisted a southeastern pulp and paper facility with compliance of the Industrial Boiler MACT requirements for a newly installed biomass boiler. The scope of the project included developing a Site-Specific Monitoring Plan, developing the Fuel Analysis Test Plan, obtaining samples of the bark and wastewater sludge, preparing the notification of compliance status, and developing an automated operator reporting system for affirmative defense of process upsets.
The Site-Specific Monitoring Plan required inventorying all related monitoring items and determining the proper maintenance and calibration techniques to meet the Boiler MACT requirements. Environmental 360 provided a turnkey fuel sampling solution by determining all sample locations, developing the sampling protocol, and obtaining the samples. Finally, Environmental 360 worked with the facility’s process control engineers to develop an operator reporting platform using Proficy.
