Seth Whitfield is a Staff Scientist II with Environmental 360. Seth graduated from Auburn University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Geology in 2013. After graduation, he went to work as a geologist for Spectrum Environmental in Robertsdale, AL where he collaborated with professional geologists to complete Monitoring Well Installations, Secondary UST Investigations, and a variety of Phase I & Phase II Environmental Site Assessments throughout AL, MS, GA, FL, and KY. He facilitated Wetland Delineations with certified biologists in AL & MS and cooperated with Alabama Department of Environmental Management (ADEM) employees to identify and locate Endangered Species in Alabama. He also assisted in Stormwater Pollution Prevention Plans for industrial and construction sites.
In 2016, Seth moved to Prattville, AL and began work as a geologist for Polaris Resource Engineering in Birmingham, AL where he worked in groundwater remediation involving Leaking Underground Storage Tanks (LUSTs). Additionally, he conducted Preliminary and Secondary UST Investigations and Phase I & Phase II Environmental Site Assessments with the guidance of a professional geologist. He wrote comprehensive reports following guidelines laid out by the Alabama Risked-Based Corrective Action for Underground Storage Tanks and regularly submitted System Effective Monitoring Reports (SEMR), and Natural Attenuation Monitoring Reports (NAMR) to supervising team.
Seth handles environmental compliance with LDAR and SPCC and has worked with clients updating FRP, SPCC, and LDAR Plans for several pulp and paper clients located in Alabama. He currently resides in Prattville, Alabama, and enjoys outdoor recreation and spending time with his family and friends.
