Justin Walker is a Project Engineer I with Environmental 360. Justin brings a diverse level of experience in process engineering, project management, supervision, and environmental inspecting, permitting, and compliance. Justin graduated from the University of Alabama dual majoring in Civil and Environmental Engineering. While there he worked as a research student with Professor Tootle working on rain fall/snow fall data internationally. While a student he received honors such as Capstone Engineering’s Environmental Engineer Student of the Year, Engineering Council of Birmingham’s Student Engineer of the Year, and was a Captain on UA’s Capstone Civil Engineering Horizontal Senior Design Team. Justin began the Masters of Business of Administration program at The University of Alabama and will graduate in May 2018. His concentration is in Executive Leadership.
During school, Justin Co-oped with Georgia-Pacific and held roles in process engineering and environmental inspecting. Justin was hired full-time after graduation as an Entry Level Engineer (ELE) and performed rotations in Project Management, EHS, Reliability, Process Engineering, and Logistics/Inventory Control. Justin quickly graduated the program and was hired as a Process Engineer He also served as the site’s Environmental Compliance System Owner (CSO) and later the Kiln/Stacker Supervisor.
Justin then accepted a leadership position at Evergreen Packaging in Pine Bluff, Arkansas as the Paper Mill #1 Process Manager. He worked on process optimization and environmental/safety projects and managed his shift towards production and safety goals.
At Environmental 360, Justin is responsible for environmental compliance inspections to facilities across the Southeast. Justin is also lead on environmental compliance plans as he works to achieve his P.E. designation.
Justin currently resides in Tuscaloosa, Alabama.
